In 1993, Lisa & Patrick Aboukrat’s project eventually took shape: it would be a new haberdashery-style concept, with its own spirit, a wide range of products, an original design and specific furniture. Their first boutique opened in March 1994 in Le Marais’ trendy rue des Francs Bourgeois – with an entrance in a backyard. From a surface area of 60 square meters at the beginning it grew to 120 square meters in 1998.
Since its creation Entrée des Fournisseurs has always displayed a complete range of haberdashery items, including threads, diverse kinds of buttons (over 5 000 references), ribbons, soft furnishings, patterns, pearls, embroidery works, and so on (see “Products” on the website).
Besides, since 1998 Entrée des Fournisseurs has had exclusive distribution of a wide range of felt in its Paris store. In 1999, a new wool counter with Rowan-Jaeger products was launched, and two years later, a fabric department.
