Proma is leading European manufacturer of internal doors and factory finished doorsets. Although only founded in 1989 Proma´s pursuit of quality, innovation and service has catapulted it into number one position not only as Spain´s best rated door manufacturer (Dun & Bradstreet) but also with an important presence on International markets which include high profile projects over much of the British Isles and as far afield as Hong Kong and Japan.

With a staff of over 400 and 6.000 square metres of factory space Proma can produce 70.000 door leaves per month and a rapidly increasing number of doorsets using its own frame and moulding components. Factory organisation is clockwork to reach these numbers over two entirely different ranges of doors, the traditional style Clasica models and the contemporary style Vega models, embracing all kinds of door types such as panelled doors, glazing doors, flush inlays doors, wardrobe doors, security doors and fire doors in virtually all wood options.

But capacity has grown so enormously because it has been paralleled by quality. Proma doors are all superbly engineered using real wood lipping, real wood mouldings and top grade wood veneers over a solid core. They are individual doors with perfectly engineered parts painstakingly assembled by hand, with absolutely all the veneers being selected by professional eyes, with every single component being checked for all aspects of quality at each stage in its manufacture, and with each and every door receiving an exhaustive final inspection and cosmetic buffing over.

Proma´s constant search for innovation is demonstrated by the increasing number of new designs. The importance of technology is immediately apparent doing a factory visit as state of the art machinery is everywhere. Respect for the environment is seen by the programmed use of waste and residues. The work ethos which is at the heart of Proma´s success can be seen everywhere as these skilled craftsmen combine technology with knowledge of timber in the specialist departments throughout the factory.
But in today?s world response to market demand is fundamental and nowhere can this be better seen than in Proma´s early recognition of the importance of combining decoration and taste with increasingly stringent fire rating. Proma has been at the forefront of fire testing in the UK. since the early nineties and is consequently now a reference point for its scope of fire door solutions within the same attractive external appearance as the non-rated models. And Proma is one of a handful of foreign manufacturers which can demonstrate not only UK fire certification but also the assurance of production to these standards at all times due to membership of the prestigious BM Trada Q- mark fire door scheme.
