Isabelle David is an artist who has chosen porcelain as the noble support to express herself. She masters the technique of painting on porcelain which she acquired in the workshops of the Sèvres Museum. Being a graduate of the Higher National School of Fine Arts in Paris, combined with her artistic course and her origins have naturally enabled her to create a poetic universe full of colours, a universe that brings us back to the traditional Indian miniature.
Isabelle David pays homage to the famous Swedish botanist Carl Von Linné (17O7-1778) by decorating her porcelains with flowers and stones, inspired by Linné's paintings in his diaries. These unique and signed pieces are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
Linné is known universally, especially for his precise system of scientific classification of the plants and mineral species. Thanks to his method, the botanists and mineralogists of the whole world can communicate easily with each other.
Isabelle David exposes regularly in Montrouge where the annual Exhibition of the Contemporary Art takes place. She has also exposed her decorated porcelains in Boulogne and Sèvres where they were highly appreciated.
New ideas for Christmas and New Year gifts.
