In 1994, after a round-the-world trip between friends, the idea came up to create our own furniture collection inspired by the last century's "great discoveries" and our "little ones".
STARBAY was build aroud three basic concepts:

100 legendary designs for 100 dreams...
All Starbay furniture's are in solid Rosewood, grown and logged under stringent environmental controls. Fully hand-made in the traditional way, it takes 30 days of kill-n-dry process for stability, 90 days of fine carpentry using: tenons, mortises, dovetails and floating panels for quality, and 10 days to achieve our 7 layers stamp varnish, so silky!
All fittings such as handles, locker, corner, hinges, even nails? are designed and made by Starbay. All leather parts come with an antique finish.
Pure bone hand-carved logos and knobs are our signature.
