In 2007, in collaboration with Hervé van der Straeten, Saint-Louis launches a tableware line inspired by the rough shape of a rock crystal and strongly influences by the designer's use of color. A substantial glass in the hand, each Excess glass alone weighs 17 oz.ounces of pure crystal. Bid farewell to light-fixtures of traditional shapes and sizes! With Excess, Saint-Louis has abandoned the classics. Striking and even surprising in design, the Excess line of lighting is crafted from an accumulation of rough crystals. Like stars, the two chandeliers are designed to preside majestically over the room: a play of crystals shining with interior light, or simply sparkling.
