Crée en 1974 Colony se spécialise dans le design d'intérieur. La société développe et réalise dès 1980 des tissus d'ammeublement originaux où la recherche rafinée des matières et de la couleur prédomine.
Les tissus présentés s'inspirent des intérieurs classiques français et du Nord de l'Europe,de l'Inde mais également de la grande tradition textile italienne de la Vénétie au Piémont.
Colony è oggi specializzata in lampassi, broccati e sete.
Dal suo show room su piazza del Popolo, nel cuore di Roma, distribuisce direttamente in tutto il mondo.
Nel 1994 apre lo show room di Parigi nel 1996 quello di Londra nel prestigioso quartiere di Chelsea Harbour e nel 2000 inaugura un nuono show room nel centro di Monaco in Germania.
Ha rappresentanti in tutte le principali città europee, in America è distribuita da Scalamandrè.
